Chicken Souvlaki

Chicken Souvlaki

This is how a proper chicken souva becomes your new go-to.

Juicy, flavour-packed chicken, fresh crunchy salad and creamy tzatziki all wrapped up into one seriously satisfying bite - this one just hits.

It looks like you’ve gone all out, but it couldn’t be easier. No skewers, no long marinades - just one tray, score it, bake it and you’re done. Big flavour, minimal effort.

Perfect for a quick dinner, feeding a crowd or when you want something that feels a bit extra without actually doing much.

And once you try it this way… souvas at home just make sense.

Watch it come together in the reel below - it’s a good one.

INGREDIENTS

500g chicken mince
1 tsp SPICETUB Portuguese Chicken Mix
½ brown onion, finely chopped
Dash Olive oil
½ Cucumber
½ Tomato
1 tbsp Red onion
Generous sprinkle SPICETUB Veggie Master
½ cup Greek yoghurt
Squeeze of lemon
Lebanese pita

METHOD

Preheat oven to 180°C and line a tray with baking paper.
In a bowl, mix the chicken mince with the chopped onion, SPICETUB Portuguese Chicken Mix and a good dollop of olive oil. Press the mixture onto the tray and score it into sections before baking - this helps create those perfect souva-style pieces. Bake for around 20 minutes or until cooked through.

Meanwhile, prepare the salad by combining cucumber, tomato and red onion with olive oil and a generous pinch of SPICETUB Veggie Master.

For the tzatziki, mix Greek yoghurt with a squeeze of lemon, olive oil and a generous sprinkle of SPICETUB Veggie Master.

Load everything into Lebanese pita, wrap it up (foil optional but recommended for the real souva feel), and enjoy.
