Cream Cheese Balls

Cream Cheese Balls

If you've spent any time on social media lately, you've probably come across the famous cream cheese balls coated in Everything Bagel Seasoning.

And while they do look delicious, traditional Everything Bagel Seasoning often contains garlic and onion, which isn't for everyone. That's where Spicetub Avo Smash Mix comes in.

Packed with sea salt, black sesame, tomato, lemon and a touch of chilli, it delivers all the savoury crunch and flavour you'd want, without the garlic and onion. In fact, I might be biased, but I think it tastes even better.

These Cream Cheese Balls are crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and couldn't be easier to make. They're perfect as a snack, alongside a soup, on a grazing board or simply straight from the oven while they're still warm.

Watch it come together in the reel below - it’s a clever one.

INGREDIENTS (Makes 8 balls)

1¼ cups self-raising flour
1 cup Greek yoghurt
125g cream cheese, cut into 8 cubes
1 egg, whisked
2–3 tsp SPICETUB Avo Smash Mix

METHOD

Mix the self-raising flour and Greek yoghurt until a dough forms. Turn onto a lightly floured bench and knead a few times until smooth. Divide into 8 pieces. Flatten each piece, place a cube of cream cheese in the centre and seal the dough around it to form a ball. Place into your air fryer basket. Brush with egg wash and generously sprinkle with SPICETUB Avo Smash Mix.
Air fry at 180°C for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!
