Potato & Mushroom Pizza on White Sauce

PIZZA: "The perfect meal. An open-faced pie using white sauce, cheese and any manner of toppings. Tastes like heaven and is sometimes stated to be better than a relationship."

Alright, obviously I have changed the above 'tomato sauce' into 'white sauce' because we all know that tomato sauce is the standard on our beloved pizza.
BUT, hear me out. You have to try this banger of a white sauce and the chances are definitely strong that you may never want to go back to tomato sauce *sharpinhale.
If you like it creamy and are happy to not over-complicate your cooking experience by using simple ingredients and getting to eating within a matter of 20min, then this recipe is for you. I don't like it myself if I have to scroll forever to get to the recipe, so I will shut up now and you are good to GO!

Potato and Mushroom Pizza on White Sauce
Serves 2 (assuming that one person is having one full pizza)

INGREDIENTS

2 large wholemeal wraps
2 tbsp butter, unsalted
2 tbsp plain flour
1 1/4 cups of milk
2 generous hand sprinkles of SPICETUB Pizza Master (equals about 1tsp)
1/4 cup parmesan
2 small potatoes, thinly sliced
4 button mushrooms, thinly sliced
1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, grated

METHOD

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
To prepare your white sauce, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Use a whisk to stir through the flour, making sure that the butter does not brown.
While whisking constantly, slowly pour in the milk until the mixture is smooth and thickened. Whisk in your SPICETUB Pizza Master and add the parmesan cheese, whisking for another 30sec.
Take off the heat making sure that the cheese has melted. Let the sauce cool down slightly.
Divide the sauce between your two wraps using a spoon to spread across. Top with the sliced potatoes, mushrooms and sprinkle the mozzarella cheese last. For some extra fun, I like to sprinkle a little more SPICETUB Pizza Master on top.
Bake in the oven for literally only 8-10min. (Depending on your oven, you may want to check that everything is going alright in there.)
Once baked and the cheese has melted all the way, remove from the oven and dig in. ENJOY!
