"I think this could be my new favourite breakfast recipe" is what Elise from @balancebyelise wrote after sharing this baked oats recipe with us. And yes, I absolutely 100% agree that this may very well in fact be my new favourite breakfast recipe as well. And so so so perfect for colder winter mornings!
Serves 1 | Prep time: 5min | Total time: 20min
INGREDIENTS
1/3 cup oat flour
1 serve vanilla protein powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tbsp SPICETUB Apple Crumble Mix
5-6 tbsp almond milk
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp coconut yoghurt
1/4 apple, chopped
1-2 squares chocolate
Crumble topping
1 tbsp oats
1 tbsp desiccated coconut
1/4 tsp SPICETUB Apple Crumble Mix
1 tbsp butter or coconut oil
4 walnuts, chopped
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 180C, fan-forced. Combine all dry oats ingredients and then mix in the wet. Stir in the chopped apple and choc chips. Transfer oats mixture into a greased oven proof ramekin. Combine all the ingredients for the crumble and use your finger tips to rub the butter/coconut oil into the mixture to form the crumble. Pour the crumble on top of the oat mixture and place in the oven to bake for 14-15min. Enjoy!
