Serves 2 | Prep Time 15min | Total Time 20min

INGREDIENTS

400g block firm tofu, cubed
3 tsp cornflour
6 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp SPICETUB Asian Greens Mix
Extra virgin olive oil

METHOD

Place the tofu cubes between sheets of paper towel, pressing down to absorb the moisture.
In a medium saucepan, stir the cornflour and soy sauce over low to medium heat, making sure there are no lumps. Add the honey and SPICETUB Asian Green Mix, stirring well.
Let the mixture simmer for 1-2 minutes or until small bubbles begin to form and the mixture becomes thick and sticky. Turn off the heat and remove from the stove.
Place the tofu in the teriyaki mixture in the saucepan, ensuring tofu is well coated. Allow the tofu to marinate in the teriyaki mixture for approximately 10 minutes.
In a large frypan, heat a generous dash of olive oil over low to medium heat. Transfer the marinated tofu to the frypan and fry for approximately 5 minutes, turning frequently to ensure all surfaces of the tofu are browning. Drizzle leftover teriyaki marinade for extra flavour.
Serve hot and enjoy with rice and vegetables of your choice.

Meet the recipe creator Sarah Grace - Nutritionist

As a nutritionist and student dietitian, I love helping people live healthier, happier lives. To me, food isn’t just about nutrients and calories. Through food, we connect with others, create experiences and lifelong memories, which is why I find so much happiness in empowering women to ditch diets and find food freedom. As I mentioned, the focus of food should be less about the calories they contain and more about the experiences, memories and joy it brings us. SPICETUB opens the opportunity to get creative in the kitchen and to experiment with a range of flavours and dishes- a big tick in my books!
